While the "Web 2.0" is still widely in discussion, monobox is surfing the next wave. The internet is about to refocus on the user himself. The more intensely we are using the internet and the more services it offers, the more we expect that our privacy is protected. Also, being goal-oriented we value a user-centric approach to using our preferred internet services.
monobox introduces a new paradigm. The goal is to safeguard personal data, create synergies between applications, eliminate redundancies and provide higher ease-of-use – all of which cannot be achieved with today's service-centric offerings. While many players in the internet try to attract and get hold of our data, monobox does exactly the opposite. With monobox, the user gets back in control.

Under an attractive surface, monobox integrates popular services such as e-mail, instant message, internet-phone, information research, online purchase, news reading as well as entertainment. But don’t expect an abundance of features and functions – find the essentials.
Practical synergies are created between so-far independent services. Just one example: Why keep contacts redundantly in different programs? Why type into a web-shop the shipping address of my friend? Our contacts are maintained once and used everywhere.
Privacy is protected by disclosing personal data just as far as needed and only if expressly permitted. monobox does not take initiative and does not high-handedly act our supposed interest.
And finally: The way we interact is well thought-out and fun to explore.
